TENNIS COMPETITORS OF KANSAS CITY (TCKC) is a recreational tennis league designed to promote connection, competition and community in the greater Kansas City and Lawrence, Kansas areas. Shirley Turner created Tennis Competitors of Kansas City on an airplane from California to Kansas City in January of 1991. She wanted to create a women’s league similar to the one she had played in Laguna Niguel, California. Many enthusiastic players have contributed their time and talent to making TCKC a reality. TCKC Tennis is run by women tennis players who participate in the league and is not associated with the USTA or any particular tennis facility.
